WISE membership is available to all organisations committed to increasing the participation, contribution and success of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) in the UK.
1. Joining WISE as a member
a) Contact: By joining WISE, you agree to nominate one lead contact who we will communicate with via quarterly email updates, membership renewals and other opportunities that we deem to be beneficial to your organisation, such as speaker opportunities and complimentary tickets for STEM-related events. If the lead contact changes, please inform your membership manager or contact email@example.com to ensure your organisation gets the most out of its WISE membership.
We welcome lead contacts from all UK sites of member organisations so that we can target local opportunities. Additionally, your employees may register and sign-up to receive WISE communications via the WISE website, direct to their inbox, such as the monthly newsletter: https://www.wisecampaign.org.uk/register/
b) Benefits: Membership benefits can be viewed in full here:
Benefits differ depending on which member level you choose. WISE reserves the right to amend the member benefits at any time.
c) Knowledge Sharing Events: Members at Core level and above may have a maximum of two attendees at an in-person knowledge sharing event, subject to availability.
d) Job adverts: The benefit of free job adverts (the number of which varies depending on member level) are for use within your membership year and cannot be carried over to your new membership year.
e) Membership period: Your membership is for 12 months. The membership start and end dates are based on the dates on your invoice. Your membership level cannot be changed during your current membership period. You can change your level upon renewal.
2. Membership renewal
Core & Premium membership and Strategic Partners: The lead contact will receive an email approximately 2 months before the membership end date requesting confirmation to renew the membership for the following year. Subsequent reminder emails will be sent if confirmation is not received. If we haven’t received a response by the time the membership end date has lapsed, WISE will withdraw all membership benefits, including access to online member-only materials, and removal from the list of members on the WISE website.
Online membership: Membership will automatically renew for the following year unless the member opts out. The lead contact will receive an email approximately 2 months before the membership end date, notifying that membership will continue for the following year, with the option to reply if you do not wish to renew. A subsequent reminder email will be sent if an email expressing non-renewal is not received, and an invoice will be issued during the membership month. If we haven’t received payment within 2 months of the membership start date, the membership and benefits will be cancelled without further notice. An extended period may be offered if the member is liaising with WISE on payment.
