“I have spent my working life in the male-dominated construction industry. Throughout this time women have been put off the industry that provides the infrastructure that fuels all of our lives and improves all of society. Yet we have all seen diverse teams outperform all others, and we know that we face skills shortages and very changing needs for future skills. I want to work with WISE to achieve gender parity in science, technology, and engineering from the classroom to the boardroom as soon as possible”.
Steve is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He was awarded a CBE in 2015 for services to the construction industry.
