Sara is Director of Portfolio and Product Management at the IET, having joined the institution in 2017 as Head of Marketing. She has over 20 years’ experience in developing and delivering new propositions, product and marketing strategies to support growth and engagement and has held a number of sales and marketing management roles, working in sectors including publishing, telecommunications, food, education and consumer electronics. Sara is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds their post-graduate diploma in Marketing.

During her time at the IET, Sara has been responsible for strategic marketing, data and insight, market research and marketing operations and has worked on several strategic initiatives including membership growth, the development of new products and services and more recently the acquisition of WISE Campaign.

In 2019, Sara participated in the IET’s Women’s Development Leadership Programme which she credits for giving her the opportunity and encouragement to evolve her career. She is now responsible for a new area within the IET, developing its portfolio strategy and product management initiatives, delivering business and market intelligence and evolving and enhancing the IET’s member and customer experience programme.
