What is your favourite thing about your job? I am always inspired by the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients’ lives. My role offers a dynamic balance of lab experiments, office work, problem-solving and collaborating with very talented and supportive colleagues. It keeps me motivated for what I do every day.
How did you get into STEM? Maths was always my favourite subject at school and I really liked problem solving. I knew I wanted to contribute to the health sector, but I was hesitant about engineering initially. A family friend bought me a ‘Women in STEM’ magazine which totally changed my perspective!
Fun fact: Alongside my engineering role I play and coach squash.
