What projects/schemes/initiatives to support women’s recruitment, retention and progression in STEM are Altrad involved in? 

As part of our 5-year People Strategy, we are committed to “embracing all” and creating a diverse, equitable workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.

We launched several key initiatives to drive this commitment. We established a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Steering Committee to lead change and align efforts with our core values. Maternity benefits were increased by 60%, and we rolled out our Neonatal Policy a year early to better support employees during critical times.

Our partnership with WISE strengthens our commitment to advancing women in STEM, while collaborating with MIX Diversity on the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Benchmark (GDEIB) has provided valuable insights for improvement. We also launched a Female PPE Roadshow across the UK and developed a Menopause Policy to offer tailored support for our female employees.

DEI topics are integrated into our engagement surveys, ensuring we consistently gather feedback to enhance our initiatives. Through these efforts, we are creating a workplace where women can thrive and excel in STEM.
