The fully interactive day will focus on practical actions and collaborative working, to ensure that you learn from every person in the room and take an active role.

By taking part, you will:

  • Collaborate across industries to address key priorities identified in our WISE Gender Equity Diagnostic
  • Learn from different perspectives to co-create solutions with real impact
  • Explore practical actions that can accelerate EDI progress
  • Build connections with peers dedicated to positive culture change
  • Gain insights into challenge areas highlighted in our 2025 Measuring Progress report

You will end the day with action points and strategies to take back to work and continue to shape the future of inclusive culture in STEM environments.

Explore situations to create better outcomes

Part of the day will be dedicated to exploring some common workplace stumbling blocks around gender equality, and discussing potential action points. It gives you a safe space to consider varying points of view and talk through potential outcomes, leading to positive actions that you can take back to your workplace.

Key learning points include:

  • Build an optimal business case and a longer-term policy to support the development of talented women in your workplace
  • Engage more women with transferable skills as STEM professionals, and create welcoming entry points into the sector
  • Understand how supervisors can role model psychologically safe behaviours
  • Support teams to shift away from exclusionary “banter culture” without banning humour altogether
  • Recognise the systemic barriers which prevent women progressing and apply targeted investment to correct these
  • Grasp how leaders can champion and role model inclusive career transition pathways
  • Build collaborative, supportive STEM environments for women of all ages, where development at all career stages is taken seriously
