Lady (Kitty) Chisholm, Chief Operating Officer, Boardwalk Leadership
Kitty is a founder Director of Boardwalk Leadership, a coach and facilitator focused on helping leaders achieve transformational change. Through her work with the Open University, updating the skills of working scientists and engineers, she developed an interest in how individuals and organisations learn. She was on the advisory boards of BT’s Corporate University, Vosper Thorneycroft Educational Services and on the Technology Foresight Leisure and Learning Panel. In 1994 she was one of three founders of the Knowledge Media Institute. Kitty was a Trustee of the Science Museum Group and is now on the Advisory Board of the School of Management of Royal Holloway, University of London. She holds an MA from Cambridge, a BSc from the OU and her interest in the neurological bases of behaviour change led to an MSc from Henley. She is a Fellow of Brunel University, Royal Holloway, the RSA, and the Knowledge Media Institute. Kitty now uses her knowledge of how brains change to support more women into leadership and more inclusive cultures in organisations.
Her book, Neuroscience for Leadership, written with Tara Swart and Paul Brown, was awarded the CMI Practical Manager Category Prize for 2016 and her book with Dr. Shaheena Janjuha-Jivraj Championing Women Leaders, was published in November 2015.
