CGL is proud to be a member of WISE and one of the initial signatories to the ’10 steps’ initiative. Since it’s early days, CGL has consistently maintained a gender balance close to 50/50 for over 20 years. The senior directors provided drive and commitment from the top to establish a culture where women were able to thrive. This near parity in gender is almost unique amongst engineering consultancies. The 10 steps metric has enabled CGL to further assess and measure how it has achieved this and where it can focus efforts on continuing to improve moving forward, to attract, retain and develop the best available talent. CGL would recommend the 10 Steps metric as a flexible yet powerful tool that will benefit any company looking to increase EDI within their business.
