Our Services UK business delivers water services, occupation health & hygiene services and laboratory sampling and analytical services across six sectors – property, energy, transport, water, resources, defence and government services.

Water

RPS is currently engaged by all of the water and sewerage companies and most of the water-only companies in the UK. We deliver consulting and field service functions operating across potable and wastewater, offering expertise in strategic advice, hydraulic modelling and analysis, asset planning, asset network management, operational planning, project management and design, software tools and data management, environmental management, and health and safety management.

Laboratories

We are known for our deep expertise in a wide range of scientific analysis, monitoring and compliance services from independent laboratory facilities in the United Kingdom and Europe. Using state-of-the-art instrumentation, we customise chemical investigation and analysis solutions to help clients comply with international quality standards, maximum residue limits (MRLs), environmental regulations and more.

Occupational Health and Hygiene

We work in partnership with our clients to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of their employees in line with HSE requirements. Our reach is nationwide and we operate from clinics across the UK as well as directly from client sites.

What projects / schemes / initiatives to support women’s recruitment, retention and progression in STEM are RPS Environment Management involved in?

Mindful that a truly inclusive organization must make appropriate use of talent on a global basis and without unnecessary barriers, we are committed to embedding diversity and inclusion principles in all People processes in order to be as diverse as the communities and clients we work with, thereby securing, developing, and retaining the best available talent for the company’s future.   

  To ensure this is put into practice we have the following procedures and initiatives in place: 

  • Interview training for everyone involved in hiring process which incorporates an understanding around Diversity and Inclusion 
  • All employees required to follow the strict guidelines of the RPS Equality and Diversity policy and ensure it is visible at all points in the process and understood by all parties involved  
  • A dedicated Committee for D&I in the Services segment - our Fairness, Inclusion and Resect Committee (FIR)
  • A strategy of recruitment for capability not just competency, as we can upskill and train as appropriate  
  • A bi-annual company survey ‘Your voice’ which includes questions on the subject of D&I and from which all responses are analysed and actioned.
