SUMMARY:KSE: Developing Women in the workplace
DESCRIPTION:It is not enough to have diversity and inclusion policies in place. Your organisation needs to communicate clear messages to women that your business needs their talents and skills and can  support them to realise their potential. Join us and other member organisations at the 3M Innovation Centre in Bracknell for presentations and discussions around this topic and to gain insights on best practice around how to create effective leadership programmes and initiatives to develop women within the workplace. \nHear best practice examples from our speakers from 3M and BMT\, all of whom are leading innovative and successful women’s development programmes in their businesses. \nWISE’s knowledge sharing events are opportunities for our members to share the great work they’re doing to reach the goal of gender equality in STEM\, which can inspire innovation within your organisation and help support and promote women in STEM across all sectors. \nSpeaker Biographies \nSarah Chapman \nEMEA Application Engineering Manager & North Europe STEM Champion\, 3M \nSarah initially trained in ballet until an inspirational teacher steered her towards a rewarding career in STEM\, a story she recently shared in a TEDx talk entitled “Why we need STEM role models who are a bit less brilliant” which challenged the genius scientist stereotype.
