Network Rail to promote best practice at WISE Conference
10 August 2016
Network Rail, conference partners for our 2016 conference, will work with the WISE team and session sponsors on this, our flagship event of the year.
The conference theme reflects our core mission – gender parity in science, technology and engineering, from classroom to boadroom – why it matters, how to make progress and what you can do to help.
Commenting on the partnership, Network Rail said: “We are serious about encouraging more women into interesting and rewarding careers in engineering and would like to think that Network Rail is adopting best practice in our approach. This is why we are delighted to work with WISE”.
Helen Wollaston, Chief Executive of WISE commented: “Network Rail is one of our most active corporate members. Having sponsored the publication of the research behind our classroom campaign, People Like Me and made a public commitment to improving opportunities for women at all levels in the business by signing the Ten steps, it is a real pleasure to collaborate on the content and delivery of the WISE conference”.
Don’t miss the WISE Conference 2016 on Thursday 10 November at The IET, Savoy Place, London. Share your success, gain fresh insights, learn what others are doing and extend your network by meeting men and women across business, professional bodies, education and the third sector. If you are new to WISE, come along to find out how you can get involved. If you are already a member, re-energise your commitment by joining us for our biggest event of the year.
