Speaking at the launch of the WISE Ambassador programme this week, HRH The Princess Royal, highlighted the number of WISE Award winners she has met during nearly twenty years since she has been our Patron who continue to be involved.
We are honoured to welcome Dame Sue Hill, Chief scientific officer for England and NHS England, as Lead Ambassador for WISE. Having transformed gender balance in engineering, physics and leadership within healthcare science, Sue has brought together a group of 20 women in positions of influence to work with WISE to accelerate the pace of change in other sectors.
At the judging day for the 2019 Awards earlier this month, finalists spoke from the heart about their determination to open doors for more girls and women from all backgrounds to enjoy careers in STEM.
