Training for Individuals

If you would like to train as an individual and have no access to a company, you can still obtain the full training via an individual account.

The training platform has been designed to ensure all ambassadors are clear on the methodology of the resource and expected outcomes, to ensure the message to girls is quality controlled and all messages are aligned.

My Skills My Life is designed to be complimentary to and supportive of other outreach programmes. The activity can be done as a standalone or in addition to other outreach activities as a hook for girls to see that STEM is for them.

The training focuses on the awareness of unconscious bias and how that affects young people, the background to the resource and how to deliver the resource in a classroom or at an event.

The 2 simple modules talk you through the process and include easy to follow tasks to enhance your understanding. It takes about 90 minutes to complete both modules.

The training guides you through the online and paper resource and provides tips and suggestions on how to deliver this in the classroom and includes examples of the resource being used in other settings such as fairs, events etc.

Additional resources including PowerPoint Presentations, safeguarding information, permission letters for schools have been provided to support you in delivering sessions.

If you are an individual who would like to access the training and additional resources to deliver sessions, you can obtain a single login. This will allow you to use the training platform to access the full company training and additional resources. We have also included a section that allows you to record the number of sessions that you have delivered and the number of girls reached.

Companies are able to purchase a number of individual licences and should get in touch with us for further details.
