Who are Honeywell?

Honeywell is a Fortune 100 company that invents and manufactures technologies to address tough challenges such as safety, security, and energy.

We believe changing the world begins with fostering a culture of inclusion, diversity, performance and innovation. This is a place where you can truly grow.

What projects / schemes / initiatives to support women’s recruitment, retention and progression in STEM are Honeywell involved in?

At Honeywell, ED&I is at the heart of everything we do. As a technology business, our engineers are solving some of the world’s most complex problems, so diverse ideas and teams are imperative. A focus area for Honeywell was improving  diversity and in turn seeing the business return due to diversity of thought and ideas. Honeywell communicated its mission globally and partnered this with offering tailored unconscious bias training to all employees. Internally, we began to create safe spaces for diverse groups including the Honeywell Women Employee Network along with now regularly holding internal webinars to address ED&I withing STEM. Similarly, we have begun to elevate our commitment to diversity in the external market by hosting webinars and sharing talent spotlights on internal ED&I success stories with the rest of the world. In parallel, we have also invested in a gender decoder for our advert writing, allowing us to eliminate masculine language and keep our adverts gender neutral. We also began to build diverse talent pools through our CRM platform, and now regularly engage with diverse future talent.

Why did Honeywell join WISE?

“Honeywell have joined WISE because we understand and believe in their mission. As an Employer, we see it as our responsibility to encourage and support as many young girls, and women to embrace science and engineering careers.
