EVR Consulting Limited
Who are EVR Consulting Limited?
EVR Consulting offers ICT (Information and Communication Technology) advisory and procurement services to a range of clients.
Bringing together over 30 years’ experience in the field of education, EVR is proud to offer services to design & build teams, construction companies, ICT suppliers, Multi-Academy Trusts, individual schools, Local Authorities, Governments and their agencies.
As a provider of consultancy services, we ensure that quality advice, guidance and support is at the core of every piece of work we do. EVR staff all have a background in education, whether it be as former teachers or technical leads in schools. Our ethos is that every child deserves the best education available and, as a woman owned company, we believe that the under-representation of girls and women in STEM subjects and careers needs to be changed.
Collectively, EVR has worked on over 650 school projects and is recognised nationally and internationally as one of the best consultancy services in operation and are exceptionally proud to be a part of WISE, assisting girls and women into STEM to achieve gender balance in the classroom and boardroom.
What projects / schemes / initiatives to support women’s recruitment, retention and progression in STEM are EVR Consulting Limited involved in?
EVR Consulting Limited work on a wide range of projects and ensure that quality advice, guidance and support is at the core of every piece of work we do.
We have provided a wide range of services to the Department for Education (DfE), Multi-Academy Trusts, schools, Local Authorities and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Programme (MBRSLP) in the United Arab Emirates. Schemes have included BSF, PSBP, Free School, UTC and Studio School programmes; providing strategic advice to Trusts and Local Authorities; introducing international best practice in the procurement of ICT devices/software on the 400-school, multi-million pound MBRSLP; assisting organisations to win places on Government frameworks; writing papers on ICT best practice for Anspear.
We feel passionately about correcting the gender balance in STEM, both with the uptake of those subjects in schools, and the wider progression of women into STEM careers. EVR practices gender-balanced recruitment and retention, actively seeking women with transferable skills that are perfect for the ICT Consultancy industry.
We encourage our female staff to undertake professional development in areas where they may have faced discrimination or disadvantages previously due to their sex. Even as an SME we see it as vital that the skills of women are accelerated in the work-place; our Senior Consultant is currently afforded a day a week to undertake a Project Management course at the University of Oxford in order to strengthen her skills and bring further value to our business.
Ultimately, more girls and women in STEM benefits us all.
Why did EVR Consulting Limited join WISE?
“As founder and Director of a woman owned business, I decided to put my money where my mouth is and support girls and women into STEM subjects and careers. It’s vital that we all extend our table to enable girls and women the opportunity to study and work in STEM.”
