Who are Allstate Northern Ireland?

Allstate Northern Ireland is the largest IT company in NI with over 2400 employees. Allstate NI is a subsidiary of the Allstate Corporation who are one of the largest property and liability insurance companies in the US as well as a Forbes 100 and Fortune 100 company. Established in 1998, Allstate NI provides a range of innovative, critical business support services to their parent company including technology, data, cybersecurity and finance with office locations in Belfast, Strabane and Derry/L’Derry.

What projects / schemes / initiatives to support women’s recruitment, retention and progression in STEM are Allstate Northern Ireland involved in?

Allstate NI (ANI) has a clear focus on advancing recruitment for women into Tech, primarily using the Diversity Mark NI (DMNI) framework. For Companies from all sectors the Diversity Mark is a ‘Mark of Progress’ that publicly declares commitment to building more diverse and inclusive workplaces to benefit all employees. The framework allows ANI to set clear targets and supporting actions to drive progress on graduate & experienced recruitment and progression.

Allstate NI was the first company in Northern Ireland to be awarded the Silver Diversity Mark Award, showing passion, accountability, and proactive progression in reaching this milestone. The DMNI Independent Assessors commended Allstate’s comprehensive nature of their Silver application which evidenced challenging diversity targets. The assessment panel were particularly impressed with their ability to show an evidence basis approach which gathers data and feedback first before developing strategies and putting in place new challenging targets.
