Quality Manager, East Kilbride


What you become a part of

You will join the QESH team in East Kilbride to lead on-site implementation of Quality standards and Food Safety policies working with Production teams to ensure site requirements are met. Reporting to the QESH Senior Manager, you will also be part of a centralised European Quality team accountable for continuously improving systems, implementing initiatives and sharing best practise across the regions. Critical to optimal performance is delivering success through leadership, development and engagement of a busy team of Quality Co-ordinators, Lab Analysts and Microbiologists.

What to expect

You can expect to be busy! It requires someone with good communication skills, confidence and authority to ensure that our consumers and integrity of our brands are protected whilst delivering high standards of performance within a factory environment. You will also be part of our CRS agenda by supporting teams to optimize energy and water consumption whilst delivering effective high quality processes. Safety is paramount so you and your team will lead by example consistently demonstrating zero accident behaviour.

What we expect of you

  • A graduate with Chemistry/Food Technology qualifications is preferred and previous team management experience is important.
  • Minimum 5 years experience or equivalent of leading a Quality Assurance team, preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of hosting third party audits
  • Working knowledge of Microbiology
  • Experience of leading a HACCP team (level 3 qualification as a minimum is HACCP preferred).

Ideally you will have experience in:

  • Food or beverage operations;
  • Leading a Quality Assurance team;
  • Managing legislative and risk management processes;
  • Managing consumer and customer complaints;
  • Managing quality testing and analysis through teams.

This role will include occasional travel to other GB and European sites.
