This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our passionate Engineering team at our busy manufacturing plant in Kirkby Thore. This exciting role will see you working closely with the Performance Teams and taking responsibility for managing the reliability, maintenance, performance improvement and compliance of the automation infrastructure on site.

What will you be doing in the role?

In the role as Control and Instrumentation Engineer you will;

  • Maintenance and development of the industrial IT Infrastructure
  • Maintenance and development of the SCADA, PLC control system and plant instrumentation systems
  • Assist in the day to day analysis & resolution of automation and related issues supporting the performance teams to minimize production impact.
  • Lead and initiate continuous improvement programmes and projects including the development and optimization of operation and maintenance procedures for instrumentation and automation / control systems.

It is important that you have:

  • Degree or equivalent (i.e. HNC and relevant experience) in electronics, electrical or software discipline.
  • Proven capability of designing, specifying, managing and improving control and automation systems including – PLC and SCADA programs
