Future opportunities with Highways England are also a real possibility, whether that is permanently or on an interim basis.
About the Programme

During the programme you will have a supportive line manager and a mentor, as well as coaching from Women Returners, to ensure you have all you need to be successful in a growing business area that is vital to the organisation’s future plans.
Highways England recognises that sometimes it’s not easy to be in a full-time 9-5 position and therefore they are open to a range of flexible working options.
Highways England is not only interested in people who have had previous experience in their chosen field – they want talented individuals who share their values and behaviours. They’re looking for people who want to grow with them and be part of their journey.
If you can demonstrate how you put safety first, how you take ownership of your work and work effectively in a team, if you show passion for what you do and show integrity in how you do it – then you could be a great fit for the programme.
