We’re currently 450 people based across 10 offices and have hired over 150 people within the last year. We have exciting further plans to continue our growth expecting to grow and that’s where you come in.

What are the opportunities?

We are looking to hire a number of Graduate-level Software Engineers to join our growing tech team. Working as part of a highly skilled team of Java and SQL engineers, you will be involved in the entire development life cycle, from start to finish. That means you will gather requirements, produce specifications, write code, test, and deploy, all under the guidance of an experienced Engineer from our team.

Work moves fast here; one day you could be modifying third party integrations with PayPal one day, and adapting process for encoding, transcoding and delivering master audio and video files the next. We also don’t shy away from giving you real responsibilities; at all times, we expect that your changes will move swiftly through our continuous integration processes, in order to improve the overall experience of our systems.

Web Developer – PHP

We are looking to hire Graduate-level PHP Software Engineers to join our growing tech team. You will join a growing team of friendly, award-winning developers working on their client-facing portal. This portal is an important business tool and allows their clients to visually see account information, providing unparalleled access and transparency to detailed historical data reporting.

Such industry unique features and the transparency of information we provide in the web-portal were the driving force behind the “Innovation in Publishing" award we collected at the MusicAlly awards in 2014.

At Kobalt, you will be able to work with PHP, web application frameworks such as Laravel and React/Redux, MVC and OOP methodologies. You will also work with unit testing and in a development environment following TDD and BDD.

What do we need from you?

We’re looking for you to have a proficient understanding of software engineer principles, as demonstrated by either a Computer Science or a Software Engineering degree. However, applications are also welcome from candidates that have completed other relevant degrees (e.g., maths, science) or comprehensive coding courses.

We are also looking for experience in the following:
