This role is accountable for delivering and mobilizing programmes and projects that can have a significant complexity in BI, Data and Analytics within the CH Tech EMEA. You will ensure that all programmes and projects are set up for success and managed though to successful completion. The projects and programmes typically have multi market and regional scope and can run concurrently and draw on multiple delivery partners.

The role will also have a responsibility to establish a structure which can execute against the known and expected demand roadmap and directly support the business objectives underpinned by Data & Analytics solutions.


The focus of this role is to work with Tech stakeholders to align and partner to deliver new capabilities to GSK, with a focus on the EMEA organisation. You will ensure optimal delivery within a best fit to company strategy, working with Sales organisations, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Governance, multiple internal Tech organisations and a level of cross-company alignment. You will also identify, clarify and gain sponsorship for changes in project/programme scope – ensuring the appropriate Change Management process is followed at all levels.

Project methodology will prioritise Agile, however where regulatory requirements exist may also require traditional Waterfall approaches or a hybrid between the two. The selected individual will have the necessary flexibility to adapt methodology that fits the project most and remain flexible towards technology approaches to ensure that the best advantage is being taken of new technologies

Accountable for ensuring projects/programs have implemented standard processes and tools to manage, agree and report budgets consistently in the owned programme and hierarchy of projects. Drive teams to actively manage costs. Look for opportunities across projects and programmes to reduce costs. Ensure compliance of PMs in process. Manage rollup in the hierarchy of projects in the programme container to support the routine programme/ project reporting.

Represent the team at governance events with senior stakeholders, and use experience to bring new ideas and to identify and challenge ineffective practices.

Collaborate with others to improve our IT delivery methodology covering tools, sourcing, processes and quality assurance.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Digital, Data Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a technology and or data driven environment
• Ability to manage complex projects and programmes
• Experience in driving Tech projects in the Digital Marketing Analytics & Media areas
• A strong technical foundation to guide the implementation of new and emergent technologies in a complex technology subject area
• Significant experience in a major global IT organization in Pharmaceutical/Commercial or highly regulated industry
• Excellent relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills with all level of the organization including senior stakeholders
• Experience in influencing and negotiating with senior IT and senior business stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
• Ability to challenge at all levels of the project and with stakeholders to ensure objectives are met

Preferred qualifications:
• Data Sciences Degrees combined with an MBA or Business experience
