Basic qualifications:

University Degree
Demonstrated knowledge of Procurement, supply chain and P2P processes, necessary to provide subject matter credibility with stakeholders and to develop appropriate solutions.
Experience in leading the performance of multi-functional teams within a matrix environment – including managing senior stakeholders.
Experience in identifying, prioritizing and delivering, performance KPIs, across a variety of levels, within a global organization from the “hands on” operations through to senior executives.

Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in Performance Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Management

You will charged with the performance management of the process of identifying savings opportunities, sourcing preferred suppliers and assessing third party risk. In the longer-term, the role will expand its remit beyond Procurement to join-up performance oversight across end-to-end sourcing to pay process. Based in GSK Global Headquarters in Brentford, you will establish a performance culture, governance, tools and team that pulls together benchmarks, business objectives, risks and opportunities.

The Head of BG&S performance is accountable for:
•Designing, base-lining, benchmarking and setting targets for the performance measures.
•Working closely with the Procurement VPs in CBS, GMS and Vx to ensure alignment on the performance measures, targets and risks and devise plans to improve performance across the 700+ Procurement organisation.
•Collaborating with the VPs in Procurement, Finance Services and GRC to ensure alignment on the performance measures, targets and accountabilities for performance improvement.
•Setting the vision (dashboards, skills set and ways of working) for the performance management of the BG&S process in the short, medium and long-term, aligned with the Procurement, Finance and Compliance functions.
•Leading the team of five Performance Managers, aligned to each of Procurement VPs and enterprise-wide programmes impacting the BG&S process.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and implement a performance culture across all Procurement employees.
Develop the Performance Management model to allow for regular and frequent updates against all defined objectives, including but not limited to savings delivery; working capital improvement, risk remediation; supplier simplification; master data, on-time payment and employee satisfaction.
Develop annual objectives and enablers and cascade into Procurement areas and FS and GRC teams.
Identify, plan and prioritise the initiatives aligned with the Procurement and end-to-end BG&S process objectives to deliver the targets.
Ensure visibility and effective use of performance dashboards for aligned Procurement area community through posters, email and verbal communications, Town Halls, ad hoc meetings, effective use of shared network folders / team sites and leveraging key Procurement leaders.
Play the role of a challenger to common thinking and an advisor, providing a fresh perspective to proposed strategies.
