The Engineering function at the GSK Ware GMS (Global Manufacturing and Supply) site is responsible for the provision of technical expertise to support the manufacturing, automation and controls systems for all production operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
Due to the sustained long term expansion of the Ware site and the introduction of new products we are looking for a dynamic and driven Engineer to join our Engineering function. Reporting to a Senior Engineer for the Oral and Solid Dose (OSD) work-stream at the GMS Ware site, you will be responsible for leading and developing Plant and/or Equipment and/or Process understanding across the Ware Site. You will work alongside fellow engineers, contactors, suppliers and consultants to deliver a range of engineering-related activities to agreed levels of quality, cost, time and tangible benefit.
You will be the accountable “Process Owner” for a defined process (end to end with clear boundaries and interdependencies), including all tasks, systems, data and information flow required for the process to succeed and remain compliant. As Process Owner, you will have an in depth understanding of the designated process, whilst managing through a broad network of “Subject Matter Experts”. You will have responsibility for the overall performance of the process, including making improvements to ensure delivery of the Site’s commercial strategy. You will also support with any regulatory auditor questions during inspections.
Other elements of the role include supporting the wider operations of GSK’s manufacturing sites, and fully understanding all the regulatory and statutory requirements (Safety and Quality/GMP) that govern manufacturing business processes.
This role would suit a driven and motivated individual who has strong experience of working in a complex GMP environment. You will be a qualified engineer, with strong people skills. A proven ability to drive performance is a must. It is imperative in this role that you demonstrate an ability to drive common-objective thinking, with a complete focus on providing solutions. You will need to be persuasive, have a strong continuous improvement mindset, and have proven experience dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Ideally you will have worked in a highly regulated-industry.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products. This must be achieved whilst consistently delivering outstanding quality, service and value to our patients.
