Your organisation has been through the process of setting targets for gender diversity. You’ve established KPIs for building the ratio of males to females in the engineering or technical teams. The targets have been in place for a while now, but it isn’t clear that you are making progress, and the enthusiasm of your managers is waning because there are no visible results.
At this point you will want to understand what is going wrong and why there is no steady climb in the female representation that you’d hoped for. This is where data becomes all important.
This short Webinar from WISE and Tectre, will talk through the requirement to gather data for multiple facets of people management to identify the bottlenecks which are stopping you making progress on those important diversity and equality goals. This has never been more important since the statistics suggest that economically, women are likely to bear the brunt of the COVID-19 crisis. They will most likely be the ones caring for the sick at home, managing childcare and suffering economically, since women hold 70% of jobs that are not entitled to Statutory Sick Pay. Sadly, we have also seen a relaxation of Gender Pay Gap reporting and collectively, we want to get a handle on the potential for disproportionate female furloughing, redundancies and resignations.
Gillian Arnold, MD of Tectre and a close associate of WISE will talk through the data which is typically available to HR teams to monitor the situation and understand why diversity initiatives are failing.
