WISE member University of Southampton has won the IEEE Women in Engineering Summit bid and will host a programme of events from 13-15 August.
The 2018 IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit (ILS) mission is to empower women to choose their own career path and facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines. Our summit is dedicated to promote women in Engineering, Science and Technology and inspire girls around the world to achieve rewarding careers in engineering.
Building on previous themes, the IEEE WIE ILS summit 2018 is a three-day event that focuses on how to achieve inclusivity in diversity. It is designed in partnership with industry for those who are interested in the impact of lack of gender, ethnic and racial diversity on the profitability and success of organisations.
The programme will begin on the 13th of August with a career fair for women. This pre-summit event is designed to complement the theme of this year’s summit and allow you to meet recruiters in a dynamic setting.
The closing ceremony on the 15th of August will give speakers from both academia and industry the opportunity to share with the audience their views about the importance of diversity in the workplace and how to foster inclusion. The closing ceremony will take place in Winchester, ancient capital of England, where buffet lunch will be provided at Winchester Guildhall.
The IEEE WIE ILS summit 2018 will bring together women from all over the world providing you with a great opportunity to build strong female networks and connect with women who lead us in today’s world.
