The Royal Academy of Engineering is hosting an exciting keynote lecture by Dame Stephanie Shirley CH DBE FREng – a ground-breaking advocate of women in STEM, software pioneer and philanthropist.
In 1939, Dame Stephanie came to England as an unaccompanied child refugee on the Kindertransport. Twenty years later, she founded a pioneering software company that initially employed only women, and was ultimately valued at $3 billion.
The lecture will take place at Prince Philip House and will be hosted by the Academy’s President, Professor Dame Ann Dowling OM DBE FREng FRS. A Q&A session will follow the talk, and there will then be an opportunity to network with other delegates during a drinks reception.
Lecture and drinks reception: £12.00 / FREE for students
Lecture and dinner: £66.00 (prices include VAT)
