The Faraday Institution – Sharing learning and good practice

The Faraday Institution, the UK’s leading independent body for electrochemical energy storage research, aims to use its influence to increase the numbers of women and minority groups in the field. The body has over 50 industry partners and works with more than 450 researchers at 20+ universities. This case study looks at how, in just three years, the institute increased its female interns from 33% in 2018 to 45% in 2020 and its PhD researchers from 15% to 50% over the same time period.
