In 2017, Travelport seemed to compare well with other major technology companies since 45% of its employees overall were women. But following data collection, the company realised that progress had stagnated and that women were not being promoted to senior positions.

The company took several actions, not least supporting the development of
powerful diversity networks at Travelport and sharing information with UK managers.
It also created posters featuring employees telling their own diversity and inclusion stories. The company saw a swell of interest and enthusiasm as well as the setting of new goals.
