Research Assistant in Chemical Biology

We are looking for a motivated scientist to join the Chemical Biology research group at Cardiff University.

The project aims to characterise key protein-protein interactions and small molecule-protein interactions that are involved in sepsis. Interested applicants should have an 2:1 or 1st Class Honours degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology and related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience, and preferably a postgraduate degree at PhD level (or nearing completion / submission) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline with a focus on enzyme mechanism and protein structures.

This position is full time (35 hours per week) and is available from 1 June 2018 for 12 months.

Salary: £26,495 - £30,688 per annum (Grade 5). It is not anticipated that an appointment be made above £27,285 per annum (Point 24).
