Join UKRC at free European Science TV and New Media Awards Evening
The UKRC is proud to be presenting, for the first time, a special award for The Best Presentation by or of a Woman in Science or Technology at the European Science TV and New Media Awards Evening on 22 November, at the IET in London (7pm).
“Media representations – or the lack of them – play a powerful part in how the public think about science, engineering and related careers,” says UKRC Director Annette Williams. “The UKRC is therefore committed to working to build the profile of women in SET in the media, and we welcome this important opportunity to encourage film makers and scriptwriters to involve women in direction, production and content of films, documentaries and new media that focus on science, engineering and technology.”
Annette Williams, Director of the UKRC, will present the UKRC award.
The UKRC invites anyone supportive of this area of work to join us at this exciting free evening of awards and presentations for media representations of science and engineering.
This is a rare opportunity for scientists and engineers to join up with writers, dramatists and those from the world of broadcasting and new media.
